WIT-NC presents

Trade Technology:
How Emerging Technologies Will Change Your Day-to-Day Job

June 9, 2021
Program 6 - 8 p.m. PT
Networking available from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. PT

Keeping up with new technology can feel like a full-time job-- one you didn't sign up for and may struggle to fit into a full-time schedule. WIT-NC is here to help! Our expert panelists will survey the latest trade compliance technology, discuss what it can (and can't) do to make your life easier, and offer tips for successful technology implementation.

Confirmed Panelists:

Mona Babra, Director of Product Management, E2Open
Mona Babra has been working in international trade since 1988 and is now Director of Product Management at E2Open (formerly Amber Road), where she focuses on export-related solutions. Mona helped customers implement one of the earliest electronic export filing systems, ELAIN, and then moved into designing trade solutions for managing exports, imports, and trade agreements. After years of working closely with engineering teams, customers, and implementation teams, she has a good handle on what customers need in solutions and how they can be implemented in the software.

Hannah Kain, President & CEO, ALOM
Hannah Kain is a supply chain executive who uses her broad management and executive background to bring creative business solutions to her company and her customers. Specializing in innovative and technology-driven supply chain management, she has also written business books and papers, taught graduate classes, and is a board member of the National Association of Manufacturers and of How Women Lead, Silicon Valley. In 2020, she was named one of SDCE’s Women Leaders in Supply Chain and one of Business Insider’s Top 100 People Transforming Business.

Karen Murphy, Vice President Business Consulting, Krypt Inc.
Karen Murphy is a trade professional with extensive experience in global trade regulations, logistics, and supply chain. Starting in the trenches as a transportation and then an export manager, Karen became Managing Director for trade at Applied Materials and VP of Global Trade at Flex before joining Krypt, a provider of trade compliance and supply chain solutions for the SAP platform. She is a licensed US Customs broker and serves on the Bureau of Industry and Security’s Regulations and Procedures Technical Advisory Committee (RPTAC).
